Last June, Insomniac Games released Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, a PlayStation exclusive title serving as the sixteenth installment in the Ratchet and Clank series. Since its launch, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart quickly became one of the most popular games of 2021 and is widely considered one of the must-play games on the PlayStation 5.
For players who still haven't played Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, now is probably the perfect time to get the game given that retailers are offering it at a discount for Black Friday. For those who prefer to get their games digitally, the PlayStation Store offers Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for $49.69, or 29% off its original price of $69.99. On the other hand, players who prefer physical copies of their games can get Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart at GameStop for $49.94. GameStop is also offering a pre-owned copy of the game for a slightly lower price of $44.99.

Serving as a direct sequel to 2016's Ratchet and Clank remake, Rift Apart sees the return of the titular characters Ratchet and Clank in a parade in celebration of their previous heroics. Clank reveals that he has successfully repaired the Dimensionator, a device that opens rifts to other dimensions, to let Ratchet search for the Lombax race and find his missing family. However, during the height of the parade, Doctor Nefarious launches an attack, and Ratchet accidentally shoots the Dimensionator causing rifts that transport them to an alternate universe.
Since its release last June, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has mainly received positive reviews from fans and critics, thanks to its stunning visuals, challenging combat, and optimization with the PS5's DualSense controller. Luckily for players looking for even more PS5 Black Friday deals, the PlayStation Store is holding a massive sale that discounts popular games such as Resident Evil Village, Kena: Bridge of the Spirits, Deathloop, and many more.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is available exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring may get the most attention of the February 2022 new releases, but Dying Light 2 could beat them both.
